librarians build communities

Who We Are: To connect librarians with community organizations in order to form meaningful opportunities for service and generosity across North Carolina.

LBC In Action: NCLA's Librarians Build Communities committee often tries to "give back" to the city hosting our biennial conference by partnering with a local organization, such as Second Harvest Food Bank.

2025 Conference Giving: Literacy Together

This year, donations made through the North Carolina Library Association (NCLA) and Librarians Build Communities will benefit Literacy Together, an organization helping readers of all ages in Western NC grow, learn, and thrive.

Your gift supports free literacy instruction, stronger families, and brighter futures across our region. Let’s keep growing readers — together.
