WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT NCLA CONFERENCE oCT. 16-20.

The Youth Services Section believes that librarians in NC serving youth, are creative and inspiring. We are proud to announce our Let’s Get Creative Serving our Community Grant for the Spring 2023. The Youth Services Section is offering 5 open-ended grants. Think bold and ask your co-workers on what your Library could use $500 to better serve your community. It could be a program(s), a new online or in person resource, or new service.  In order to apply for this grant you must be a member of NCLA and the Youth Services Section (click here to join or renew).

Please click on the link above to answer and submit your application by Friday, May 26, 2023

If your Library system is selected, a final grant report will be due to the Youth Services Section by Friday, September 20, 2024. The grant report will include information about the programs, services, or resources you provided, promotional materials, pictures, and program evaluations. We will also request you submit an itemized budget stating how you spent the total grant funds.

In addition to receiving $500.00 for the grant the 5 selected applicants (or someone from their library if they leave) will be required to attend and present as a panel at the next YSS Retreat in October 2024.

If you have any questions about the 2023 Grant or about Youth Services Section please email yss@nclaonline.org.
