The 2023 legislative session promises to be a busy one for library advocates. With issues old and new, as well as legislators both returning and new, the time to start is now. This session will explore the tenets of effective legislative advocacy as well as those issues impacting libraries at the local, state, and national levels, with a specific focus on the implications for North Carolina libraries. Advocates will prioritize actionable steps for short- and long-term advocacy.
