9:30 - 10:00: Registration and Refreshments.

10:00 - 11:45: Update on the State Library of North Carolina's
"Access to State Government Information Initiative." (Includes a break from 11:00-11:15)

11:45 - 1:15: Lunch (on your own).

1:15 - 2:30: Collection Development Panel.

Mary Horton, Head, Government Information & Microtext - Wake Forest University
Billy King & Natalia Tuchina, Periodicals and Documents - Forsyth County Public Library
(Each panelist will speak about 10-15 minutes on collection development at his/her shop,
then take questions from the audience.)

2:30 - 2:45: Federal Depository Library Council April 2004 Meeting Update,
Beth L. Rowe - Electronic Documents Librarian at UNC-Chapel Hill
(Comments are welcome from anyone else who attends the April DLC meeting.)

2:45 - 3:00: Audience Update: Share news from your library.

3:00-3:30: Documents Section Business Meeting

to Beth L. Rowe (contact information listed below) - we need as accurate a headcount
as possible. Thanks!

$28 NCLA Documents Section member.
$33 NCLA member, but not a Documents Section Member.
$40 NCLA non-member.

The Registration Fee depends on NCLA and Documents Section membership status:

  • If you are not a member of NCLA or of the Documents section, you may join
    to receive the lowest rates.
  • If you are a member of NCLA, you may join the Documents Section to receive the section rate.
  • To join NCLA, ask at the registration desk on the day of the workshop. You can also download
