YSS Biennial Retreat: Youth-Centered, Library-Focused

The NCLA Youth Services Section Board had a great turnout for our 2018 Biennial Retreat: "Youth-Centered, Library-Focused" with almost 100 library staff members from across the state attending.   We all had a great time at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, NC, enjoying fresh air, fellowship, and food for the brain!

If you joined us on October 18-19, you will receive an email providing access to our Google Drive folder with all the Retreat materials, including presentations and associated handouts, notes from the breakout sessions, bold ideas from the 25/10 Crowdsourcing activity, and program plans you submitted by email before the event.  If you did not have a chance to submit a program plan, there is still time!  We will continue to accept and compile plans for a couple more weeks--please email them to ncla [dot] youthservices [at] gmail [dot] com.

If you are not yet a member of the NCLA Youth Services Section, please consider joining.  Your membership helps us support libraries and library staff around the state, elevate the profession, and demonstrate the value of libraries to our stakeholders.  Visit nclaonline.org to join, and choose Youth Services as the free section that comes with your membership.  We appreciate your support!
