The LAMS Board has met once to pre-plan our year. Mary Ellen Chijioke from Guildford College hosted our meeting in May and all Board members were present. Prelminiary plans include a series of off-conference year workshops/forums on topics like public relations and customer service during "tight" budget times. We also discussed ideas for programs for our academic and special library members. The Board will meet next at Wake Forest University on July 23.

In addition, Wanda Brown and Mary Ellen Chijioke attended ALA and both had LAMS/LAMA duties. Wanda participated in a LAMA panel discussion and Mary Ellen was to explore the program packages offered by LAMA for possible conference ideas.
