WILR Features...NCLA WILR 2012 Raleigh Workshop
On November 2, 2012, the NCLA Women’s Issues in Libraries Round Table (WILR) Executive Committee organized and hosted a workshop on “Insider’s Guide to Your Potential: Trust, Leadership and Happiness in the Workplace” at Cameron Village Public Library in Raleigh, NC. Stephanie Goddard, author of 101 Ways to Have a Great Day at Work which is an Amazon 'business-bestseller', led the morning session on “Building High-Trust Environments in the Workplace.” Approximately 30 attendees attended the event, and the participants reflected upon how to build and repair trust in the workplace.
In the afternoon, the invited panelists were Wanda Brown, NCLA President, Dale Cousins, NCLA Vice President & President-Elect and Cal Shepard, State Librarian. Each panelist shared her unique perspective on leadership. The attendees asked many questions, and participants said that it was an excellent workshop to reflect and discuss these important issues.
