Technology and Trends Round Table
Report to the NCLA Executive Board
October 2002

The Executive Committee of the Technology and Trends Round Table met via conference call on Tuesday, October 14, 2002. All TNT Board members were able to attend. A new secretary/treasurer has not yet been appointed.

TNT has been approached by the State Library to cosponsor another LITA Regional Institute. The only program of interest at this time is "XML and Libraries." Other potential programs were discussed as either an alternative to the LITA Regional Institute or to present as part of the 2003 biennial conference. We hope to schedule a program to be held during the first quarter of 2003.

We plan to establish a TNT Listserv in the near future to serve the information dissemination needs of the TNT Roundtable and to provide another means of communication for NC Librarians working with technology.

The TNT Website, currently hosted by the Rowan County Public Library, will be transferred to the http://www.nclaonline.org website soon.
