The Scholarship Committee has been charged with actively pursuing repayments of McLendon Student Loans. Committee member Susan Benning has volunteered to develop a process that can be used. Additionally we will need to investigate with the current NCLA Administrative Assistant to ascertain when payments stopped. Retrospective requests for payment will be initiated as soon as possible.

The Committee will meet this winter to review this material as well as to make plans for future initiatives that might raise awareness of the need for financial support of all of the available scholarships. At the current level of revenue returns there will be insufficient funds to offer any of the scholarships in 2005. We would still be able to offer the McLendon Loans.

Various committee issues, such as the update and maintenance of the webpage for scholarship announcement, also need to be resolved at this meeting.
