The Reference and Adult Services Section co-sponsored, with the Round Table on Special Collections, a successful workshop on outreach and exhibits held in Lenoir on Sept. 13 and Kinston on Sept. 27. The Executive Committee met
on October 14 and firmed up plans for a workshop in the spring on new modes of reference. We also discussed two events for the biennial conference, a luncheon meeting and a program on readers' advisory services. The section's new brochure will be sent to individuals who have not renewed their section membership in 2002. Welcoming letters will be sent to new
members quarterly. The executive committee also discussed the possibility of creating a directory of RASS members.
