Awards Committee
The Awards Committee Charge:
1. To oversee the William H. Roberts Public Library Distinguished Service Award:
- Seek and review nominations
- Make a recommendation to the Public Library Section Planning Council
- Plan and organize the presentation and press releases.
2. To oversee the distribution of other scholarships and awards as designated by the PLS Planning Council.
3. To encourage active membership in the Public Library Section and its committees.

The purpose of this award is to recognize excellence in public libraries in North Carolina. The recipient of this award may be a library leader or an unsung hero/heroine in public libraries.
