The NCLA Public Policy Committee has not met, so this is sort of an unofficial report.

There will NOT be a request lobbying. As you will recall, the lobbying effort was a partnership with the North Carolina Public Library Directors Association (NCPLDA). This year, the NCPLDA is considering pursuit additional Aid to Public Libraries funding (State Aid), but likely will not seek to employ a professional lobbyist.

The Public Policy Committee will monitor library issues as relates to the legislature and state government, and recommend NCLA action as necessary.
