Used Videos, DVDs and Audiobooks
Look for “pre-viewed” videos and DVDs at video stories, which sell them at bargain rates. Big chains such as Blockbusters may not provide invoicing to libraries but some small, local video stores will do so. Stores which rent audiobooks often have used copies for sale at up to 90% off retail price, providing another great resource for library purchasing.
When you are asked by a patron for titles that appeal to families or with a mixed group of people, think about humorous audiobooks. Some authors to recommend would be Fanny Flagg, Garrison Keillor, Bailey White or Tom Bodett.
