The New Members Roundtable is pleased to present the next Big Adventure, which will take place in Charlotte on March 18th. The Big Adventure is a networking experience that allows librarians to visit libraries and cities that may be new to them. This year, the group will visit Johnson and Wales University, the Charlotte Observer, and the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. An electronic brochure will be emailed to the list serve and put on the NMRT webspace.

The NMRT is exploring the following conference programming ideas. We would like to house a hospitality area where people could congregate and get a cup of water or leave a message for a fellow attendee. We are also developing a resume workshop, which will tie into a career mapping discussion. Of course, we will hold our third annual orientation reception, and we would appreciate seeing as many veterans there as possible to meet our newcomers and answer their questions.
