Job Description: The person in this position is the main Circulation technician and assists patrons with reference questions, circulating materials, inter-library loans, managing overdue notices and other reports, answering phone, copying, faxing, and laminating.

Clerical duties include delivering and picking up mail daily; managing periodical and newspaper collection and storage; preparing weekly reports of fees collected and delivering money to business office; managing accounts for, keeping records of, and preparing requisitions for all purchases including standing orders, books, A/V, office supplies, etc.

Other library duties include assisting in Electronic Resource Lab as needed, shelving books, keeping library and equipment room neat, assisting with library programming, and assistance with cataloging/book repair.

Qualifications Required: One year of post-secondary (college) education; strong experience in customer service OR libraries, accounts, and record keeping; excellent organizational skills, ability to work as a team with fellow staff members, willingness to learn the NC Community College circulation, inter-library loan, and cataloging system; strong skills using Microsoft operating system; able to work Mon-Fri 8 AM-5 PM fall and spring semesters and 8 AM-7 PM summer semester.
