Phil Barton of Rowan County Public Library and Carrie Nichols of Meredith College have joined me on the Constitution, Codes and Handbook Revision Committee. We met on April 8, 2004 in Salisbury to review the scope of our task: (1) ensure all changes made since the fourth edition have been incorporated into fifth edition and (2) to ensure sections of the Handbook are consistent with each other. In order to accomplish this task we have decided to reconstruct the Handbook. The committee will also review the Executive Board minutes and correspondences from members concerning omissions and corrections to the fifth edition. In addition, the committee will look at the process for getting changes into the Handbook and web page.
