9:30 - 10:00   Registration and Refreshments.

10:00 - 10:15   Welcome

10:15 - 12:00   Documents Dataminer 2, Ann Miller, Duke University.

[PLEASE NOTE: We want this to be a very practical workshop. We are encouraging registrants to bring any
time-saving tips or tricks about depository management/documents processing to share with the others.
If you can bring a handout, that's always helpful (40 copies). After Ann's presentation we'll open the floor for
this sharing session. For example is anyone using RSS to save time?]

12 - 1:00   Lunch on your own.

1:15 - 2:45   The North Carolina State Depository System, Mary Boone, State Librarian.
State Library staff members will give an overview of the Digital Preservation Best Practices Exchange held recently.

2:45 - 3:00   What's new at libraries around the state?

3:00 - 3:30   Government Resources Section Business Meeting.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING

The McKimmon Conference and Training Center website includes a printable map as well as Mapquest to get specific directions.
The Center is at 1101 Gorman Street (at the corner of Western Blvd) on the campus of North Carolina State University. (919) 515-2277.

Parking in the front lots of the McKimmon Center is free and usually plentiful. There are three smaller parking lots on each side of the Center that are reserved for University employees. Visitors are asked to park in designated visitor parking spaces to avoid ticketing.

You can pre-register or register the day of the workshop. If you plan to attend but want to pay on the day of the workshop,
please either mail the registration form or e-mail Dianne Ford, dford@elon.edu.

$28 NCLA Government Resources Section member.
$33 NCLA member, but not a Government Resources Section Member.
$40 NCLA non-member.

The Registration Fee depends on NCLA and Government Resources Section membership status:

  • If you are not a member of NCLA or of the Government Resources Section, you may join
    to receive the lowest rates.
  • If you are a member of NCLA, you may join the Government Resources Section to receive the section rate.
  • To join NCLA, ask at the registration desk on the day of the workshop. You can also download and fill out the
