The North Carolina Library Association Government Resources Section will host its 2012 Annual Meeting & Workshop on Friday, June 1 at Belk Library on the campus of Elon University in Burlington, NC.

In addition to our annual business meeting, there will be updates on the FDLP and NC state documents, as well as a presentation on the ASERL Collaborative Federal Documents Program. A special highlight will be Bryna Coonin’s presentation on the development of the U.S. census, from both an historical and sociological point of view.

The session is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend. Please RSVP to Lisa Watson (lwatson5 [at] elon [dot] edu) by May 18th if you are interested.

Information about future webinars will be available soon.

The Government Resources Section of the North Carolina Library Association welcomes you to a series of webinars designed to help us all do better reference work by increasing our familiarity with government information resources, and by discovering the best strategies for navigating them.

Information about past sessions can be found on the GRS-Past Events page.

Technical requirements for Webinars:

We will be using collaborative software called Elluminate. It requires that you be able to download Java onto your computer, but you do not need any special software. After you RSVP, we will send you a link that you can use to test the software. If you have any questions, please contact Lynda Kellam (lmkellam [at] uncg [dot] edu). You do not need a microphone as a chat system is available in the software, but you do need speakers or headphones.

These sessions will be recorded and made available after the live sessions, linked from the NCLA GRS web page.  Past Events Page
