We'd appreciate your input on how we could improve our online presence. Share your ideas or volunteer to help by clicking on Add Comment below.

NCLA does have a working listserv. We changed its address several months ago and posted the new address to the old listserv.

To post a message to the listserv, address it to:

Did you know that NCLA's next Leadership Institute will be Oct 25-28, 2012?

NCLA needs to have a working listserve. Our interest group tried to post to the list for over three weeks for an event we were holding and it did not work. This is just such a basic thing.
If you don't have the tech support, or NCLA office staff cannot figure out how to fix something, consider crowd sourcing to your membership- lots of us might be able to help you fix basic stuff....

That is a fabulous idea Melanie!!! I look forward to talking with you about it soon. Feel free to contact me anytime and we will put something together.

I also believe that one of the ways to increase our online presence is to make it easier to conduct business online. I would also like to see about finding ways to bring incentives to our members through digital means.

In the New Member's Round Table we are hoping to create an informal "schedule" for posting on the NCLA facebook page. I was told to get in touch with Jennifer Meyer to see about doing that, but haven't yet.. It works for my university library and it has increased our following and students awareness of our events.

Like Robin I think of web presence being more than just the web site. I am getting invitations to NMRT events because I am a member of the NCLA group on Facebook. Please join Robin. It's an open group.

I would like to help out with making the web presence more robust. I'm not sure, really, what we currently have...more publicity may be necessary. For instance, do we have a Facebook presence? Wikispaces? I'll be happy to help out any way that I can...
