Youth Services Librarian-Onslow County Public Library

This position serves as the head of Youth Services for the
Library. Duties include but are not limited to oversight of the
development and implementation of age-appropriate
programming for children and families; evaluation and selection
of youth-focused library materials for the Library’s reference and circulating print and non-print collections; selection, training,supervision and evaluation of library staff for Main Library’s Youth Room; participation in the Library’s system-wide programming committee; participation in Library’s community outreach/partnership building efforts.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
A Master Degree in Library or Information Sciences from an
accredited library/information sciences program and at least
three years of youth services programming experience (some
supervisory experience is preferred).

Special Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license and be in compliance with the Onslow County’s insurance regulations.

Beginning Salary Range: $42,158-$54,805
