Prospect Research Analyst
The WFBH prospect research office is counted among the most advanced prospect research departments in the country, maintaining comprehensive resources and ongoing training programs.
The prospect research analyst 1) prepares research profiles for Development Officers and senior Medical Center leadership; 2) helps maintain the prospect tracking system; 3) identifies new prospects; 4) assists with data-intensive projects (e.g., wealth screenings).

The Prospect Research Analyst reports to the Director of Prospect Research/Prospect Management in the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs. The incumbent will provide both proactive and reactive advanced prospect research services for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center to maximize giving; prepare research documents including profiles and project summaries for senior level Medical Center personnel; identify new major gift prospects for the Medical Center; investigate financial status of prospects; research history of prospect with regards to contacts and philanthropy with Medical Center/WFU history; analyze corporate financial data and industry trends of prospects; track major financial transactions of prospects; identify and access all pertinent reference and library sources including hard-copy and on-line references, libraries, etc.; review and analyze data as it relates to the fundraising strategy; identify and interview Institutional and non-Institutional sources to obtain further information; develop and maintain a network of contacts; write documents (profiles and project summaries, 1-2 pages) using style, grammar, and content appropriate to audience; identify potential major donors from on-line and hard-copy sources; investigate newly identified potential major donors; evaluate ability and propensity to give a major gift by identifying and analyzing wealth indicators and interest in and connections to the Medical Center; identify and network with colleagues at similar institutions to stay abreast of developments in the prospect research field.
