Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury, NC is seeking candidates for the position of Coordinator of Library Services (South Campus). This position will coordinate the South Campus Learning Resource Center in Concord, NC (near Charlotte) and serve as Outreach and Public Services Librarian.

The Coordinator of Library Services (South Campus) is a full-time librarian who reports to the Director of the Learning Resource Centers Information Commons and is responsible for general operations of the South Campus LRC. General duties include overseeing the daily routine of the South Campus LRC, supervision of reference and information services, supervision of South Campus LRC staff, monitoring the physical facility and communication of any needs/issues, coordination of South Campus library instruction, and maintaining accurate records. In addition, this position participates with other LRC librarians in collection development, acting as a liaison to academic departments; resource identification, evaluation, and recommendation, both print and electronic; and assessment of general LRC services and policies. In particular, this position is responsible for all LRCs' outreach and public services to include leading the team in LRC instructional design; coordinating the LRC marketing initiative; overseeing LRC communications; partnering with other agencies, both on and off campus; and keeping abreast and informing others about current and future library public service functions, including circulation and interlibrary loan. The position requires an innovative and service oriented leader who will actively participate in the above activities as well as night, weekend, branch work or other duties as assigned.

Master's Degree in Library or Information Science from ALA accredited program. Leadership and management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills; evidence of commitment to professional growth; ability to work collegially in small group and team environments; strong customer service orientation; demonstrated computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Office applications, other presentation software, online resources, and library integrated systems; and demonstrated experience of library instruction, marketing and public services. Minimum of two years' library work experience with one year of supervisory experience.
