Global Health Librarian Un-Conference

By Anonymous - Posted on 06 June 2011

IntraHealth International, located in Chapel Hill, is hosting a Global Health Un-conference on June 24th from 9-12. The un-conference is open to all local librarians, information specialists, and knowledge managers who work with and for global health. This will be a fun-spirited meeting where everyone participates, joining others who share their interests. We expect to tackle some big questions, network, and plant the seeds for future collaboration. Things we want to talk about include:
• How can we offer sustainable support to our institutions’ global partners?
• What technologies are we using to connect with the global health community?
• How do we educate others about our roles in global health?
• How can we get involved early in the process, to be a full member of the team?
• What is your question?

Any ALA member working in global health librarianship in this area is welcome to register on the conference website: https://sites.google.com/site/ghunconference/home.
