Some Notes on the Fall Conference

Our breakfast, featuring author Mary Calhoun, will be on Thursday morning at 7:30. The ticket price is $17.00.

 

Sheila Anderson ofAllen Co. Public Library in Ft. Wayne, Indiana will present a program sponsored by CSS and the YA Roundtable of the Public Library Section entitled “Collection Development for YA’s: Catcher in the Rye, What Shall I Buy?”

 

The NC State Library and CSS may sponsor a program to show participants how to customize a new internet portal for use by children. The title is tentative:  Start Squad: Learn More About the State Library’s Kids’ Portal.”

 

Plans are still being made for a panel discussion sponsored by CSS and  New Members Roundtable entitled “School-Library Cooperation”.

 

CSS will sell cards at their membership table for $6.00 a box.
