NCLA drawing will benefit Louisiana libraries
You Can Help Storm-Ravaged Libraries in Louisiana! A drawing sponsored by the NCLA Program Planning Committee at next week's conference will benefit the Louisiana Library Association's Disaster Relief Fund. Prizes include
- An IPod
- A gift basket from A Southern Season
- A first edition of CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES (collectible, comic, New Orleans-related novel), donated by Alibris
- An assortment of NCLA merchandise from the conference store
- A set of 10 black-and-white prints drawn annually by Debi Davis for the North Carolina Public Library Directors Association
- A gift basket of chocolates
Tickets will cost $2 each, or 3 tickets
for $5. They'll be for sale in the conference store (where you can view
the prizes) and at
the All-Conference
Reception on Thursday night. When you buy tickets,
you'll deposit them in the box for the prize(s) you most want to win. And
of course, the
more tickets
you buy, the better your chances :-)
The drawing will be held on Thursday night at the All-Conference
Reception. All proceeds from the drawing will be donated
by NCLA to the Louisiana
Library Association Disaster Relief Fund, which will
use the money to assist school,
public, and academic library restoration efforts in
southeastern Louisiana.
Even if you're not planning to attend the conference,
why not give a colleague money to buy some tickets
for you??
They might
bring
home a prize, but
even if they don't you'll still be a winner for helping!
See you in Winston-Salem.
