Dear NCLA Section/Roundtable/Committee:
The North Carolina Library Association’s 55th Biennial Conference is scheduled for September 23rd – 26th in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The theme is:
Libraries – A North Carolina Value
Enriching, Inclusive, Essential
The NCLA Biennial Conference Planning Committee met recently to begin planning for the conference. Dale Cousins and I are Co-Chairs on the Program Planning Committee and we look forward to the participation of NCLA Sections, Roundtables and Committees in the conference. Enclosed is a Program Planning Form to assist in planning for each session or event your group is planning to sponsor. Your group should select a first, second and third choice of time for each event being sponsored. Following the receipt of these forms, the Program Planning Committee will begin creating a schedule for the conference and confirmations will be mailed to the sections, roundtables and committees by April 30, 2003.
Please mail, fax or email your forms with preferred times, room arrangements and equipment needs to Dale Cousins no later than April 4, 2003. If you have questions about the room arrangement options, please see the NCLA Conference website (www.nclaonline.org/conference/index.html) for additional information. This year we are only requiring the program planning forms be submitted once and therefore we will not be able to make any revisions (i.e. changes in room arrangements or equipment needs) after the final submission on April 4, 2003. Please note than program coordinators/presenters are responsible for audio visual equipment for section/committee programs.
We look forward to hearing from you and having your group participate in NCLA’s 55th Biennial Conference. Please do not hesitate to contact Dale or me if you have any questions or concerns about the forms.
Sincerely,
Ann Burlingame
