NCLA 2003 Biennial Conference

Plan to sit back and relax while award winning children’s book illustrator, Jane Dyer, takes you on a magical journey full of lush images and fascinating facts. Ms. Dyer, an engaging speaker, will tell her story of how she came to be an illustrator. She will discuss the imaginative process by which her illustrations develop and the research that she must do in order to achieve the finished sketches and paintings. Join CSS for a delicious breakfast buffet and an even more satisfying presentation by this acclaimed illustrator. Her presentation will include slides of her work.

Jane Dyer Jane Dyer’s whimsical and charming illustrations have graced the pages of more than two dozen picture books. Numerous awards have been given to her, including two Parent’s Choice Honor book awards and several Notable Children’s Trade Book citations. Her I Love you Like Crazy Cakes by Eileen Spinelli and Time for Bed by Mem Fox are NY Times Bestsellers. She is also the creator of Animal Crackers: A Delectable Collection of Pictures, Poems, and Lullabies for the Very Young. Jane resides in Northampton, MA and is inspired in her art by her family, friends, cats, and dogs. Her original illustrations are exhibited and sold at galleries throughout the country.
