Sponsored by the Technology and Trends Roundtable
During 2002, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Jackson Library established electronic access to over 2300 unsubscribed journal titles through several different types of pay-per-view options. This presentation will be centered on the criteria and process used for choosing each title and will provide an overview of the technical procedures used for setting up titles with different vendors and publishers. Authentication issues and user information screens, as well as usage statistics, costs, and implications for collection development and interlibrary loan will be covered.
