Sponsored by the Reference and Adult Services Section
Elisabeth Leonard, from Wake Forest University, will lead a discussion
concerning bibliographic instruction. Betsy Williams from Appalachian
State University will join her. This tradition is giving way to the new
kid on
the block—information literacy. Information literacy can be done
within one shot sessions through curriculum mapping or through credit
bearing classes. This session will explain the advantages and disadvantages
of
each approach and provide tips for launching a successful program.
