Peter
Young is the Director of the National Agricultural Library in Beltsville,
Md. He was appointed June 3, 2002, having formerly worked at the Library
of Congress where he directed the distribution of LC bibliographic
and authority products. From 1990 until 1997 he was the Executive Director
of the U.S. National Commission on Libraries and Information Science. Mr. Young will discuss the National Agricultural Library as an information leader. The library has been innovative in forging partnerships and exploring new methods and technologies that advance open and democratic access to information. As a dynamic, efficient and effective organization, NAL is dedicated to serving customers, worldwide. Join Mr. Young as he profiles the mission of the library and how this can affect libraries in North Carolina. |
