NCDLG provides continuing education for distance education librarians and other librarians who provide library services to distance learning students in academic libraries. The interest group also serves as a forum for sharing and exchanging information at the state level.
This interest group was created in Fall 2011 sponsored by the College and University Section (CUS). Members of both CUS and the Community & Junior College Section (CJCS) may participate in the group’s activities. However, only members of CUS may participate in business meetings and serve on the steering committee. There are no additional fees for joining the interest group.
A schedule of upcoming events & meetings is available here, along with recordings, slides, and documents from past events.
The North Carolina Distance Learning Group was formed as an interest group of the College and University Section. Its formation was approved by the Executive Board of the North Carolina Library Association on April 23, 2010.
