The RASS Executive Board met in Durham on November 30, 2001. The Board discussed recent changes in the NCLA Administrative Office, as well as the unfortunate cancellation of the RASS luncheon at the NCLA Biennial Conference. The RASS Chair will contact Treasurer Diane Kester to ensure that all individuals who paid for the luncheon and did not attend another will receive a refund. We would like to invite Kee Malesky, our intended speaker, to speak at a future biennial conference luncheon. Also during the next biennial conference, we shall try to co-sponsor a program with another section.
The Board discussed several ideas for a Fall 2002 program, tentatively deciding on marketing and evaluating services. The Board hopes to offer the workshop twice, in different areas of the state, perhaps Hickory and Greenville.
The Board will develop a section brochure, for our use in future workshops, conferences, etc.
We thank both Carolyn Price and Jennifer Pratt, who have just rotated off the Board, for their gracious and effective service to RASS during the last biennium.
Future Board meetings are planned for January, April, and July.
