The NCLA Endowment Dinner will take place on Wednesday evening, October 5, at Market on Main in downtown Hickory, NC.

The entertainment will be “Mark Twain: 100 Years Later,” an award-winning portrayal of America’s favorite storyteller, starring Dave Ehlert (a Branson, MO, favorite for years) as Samuel Clemens.

Hilarious comedy, timeless humor and nostalgic images are the features of Ehlert’s portrayal of Mark Twain.  Enjoy a heartwarming look at life through the eyes of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.  Revisit Twain’s life, his quotes and his stories.

Ehlert has years of experience as an impressionist, portraying characters such as Twain, Elvis Presley and Hank Williams Sr.  He has made it a goal to perform his version of Mark Twain to libraries across the country and to date has performed as America's favorite storyteller in 15 states.

Proceeds from the NCLA Endowment Dinner benefit the NCLA Endowment, which provides money for programs, services, and other efforts that cannot be supported by the NCLA operating budget alone.
